Gonzales, LA – EATEL has partnered with two local school systems in its serving area as well as Malco Gonzales Cinema to sponsor two live digital safety seminars that are free and open to the public. These seminars will be geared toward middle and high school students, parents, and teachers, and will demonstrate methods to prevent harmful digital and online behaviors such as sexting, cyber bullying, digital blackmail, digital exploitation, and more.
These award-winning seminars will be presented by nationally renowned speaker Richard Guerry, founder of the Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication (IROC2.org). Guerry is the author of Public and Permanent: The Golden Rule of the 21st Century and has been a featured speaker at many national conferences and conventions. He has also appeared as an expert on CNN, MTV’s Thin Line Campaign, Parade Magazine and in local, regional, and international publications.

Registration is not required to attend either seminar, although EATEL encourages those attending to arrive early as seating will be limited.
