EATEL was one of the founding sponsors of Ascension Parish's Volunteer Ascension organization and continues to be a major contributor. EATEL employees participate in fundraising efforts for the organization, including a school uniform drive and School Tools collection within the company. EATEL employees also serve on the Volunteer Ascension Board of Directors.
Volunteer Ascension’s annual School Tools Drive for needy children gets underway July 19 with the Corporate Challenge, presented by the Eatel Cares team. All Ascension Parish businesses, industry, organizations and local municipalities have been challenged to collect and drop off designated school supplies.
Look for the big yellow bus in the Eatel parking lot, 406 E. Worthy St., in Gonzales on July 19th from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. to drop off supplies.

As a communications company, EATEL provides the resources to help LA State Police issue AMBER Alerts to thousands of people throughout Louisiana. Once an AMBER Alert is issued by the State Police, EATEL automatically sends an email announcing a child has been abducted to customers, employees, and the general public.
