Robert Burgess
Robert is responsible for all the company's operations and reports to the Board of Directors. He has 35 years of telecommunications management experience in wireless and land-based companies including BellSouth, AT&T, CenturyTel Gulf Coast Wireless (Sprint Affiliate) and EATEL.
Bill Scheffy
Bill Scheffy serves as Chief Financial Officer for EATEL and each of its subsidiaries. He brings more than 30 years of financial experience, including five years of financial management in the telecommunications industry, to the organization. Prior to joining EATEL, Scheffy served as a CFO for Gulf Coast Wireless, LP. He also spent more than 25 years of his career in the banking industry, all with Louisiana National Bank, now JP Morgan Chase. An active community member in his home town of Baton Rouge, Scheffy has served as chairman and board member for numerous distinguished organizations, all with the goal of the betterment of East Baton Rouge Parish and its surrounding communities, including Ascension.
Galen Gautreaux
Galen Gautreaux has over 20 years of technical and management experience as an information systems professional. As EATEL's vice president and chief information officer, Gautreaux oversees the company's Information Services and SunShine Pages Divisions. Prior to serving as vice president, Gautreaux was director of information services where he played an instrumental role in developing billing systems, migrating acquired customers to EATEL's billing system, building the methodology and systems to computerize billing for EATEL's PCS wireless business; and he also automated various manual processes that saved the company human and capital resources.
Cindy Bourg
Cindy Bourg serves as director of accounting for EATEL and each of its subsidiaries. She brings over 20 years of financial accounting experience, most of which have been in private industry in a managerial role. Prior to joining EATEL in 1994, Bourg served as assistant controller for the southern region of Brand Scaffold Services, a nationwide provider of industrial scaffolding. In her role as director of accounting for EATEL, she has been instrumental in updating and converting EATEL's financial accounting software systems. Bourg is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of several professional accounting organizations.
Toni Bourque
Toni Bourque has more than 25 years experience in the customer service industry and has served in various management roles at EATEL over her career span. As EATEL's Director of Customer Service, Bourque oversees the Customer Service Division, which includes the ordering, billing and collecting of payments for all EATEL products and services. As a certified strategic leader in call center operations, Bourque's efforts are focused on creating a productive team environment, developing staff, and achieving sales and customer satisfaction goals. She has been instrumental in several areas including the initiation of formal training, sales incentive programs, and automation of key customer service processes.
Janet Britton
As Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, Janet Britton is responsible for guiding EATEL through the complex myriad of legal and regulatory issues facing telecommunications companies. She has more than a decade of experience in the telecom industry, and prior to joining EATEL, served as a Staff Attorney for the Louisiana Public Service Commission (LPSC). Britton is the company's representative for all matters dealing with tariffs and the LPSC. She is an active member and volunteer for several professional and youth-related organizations.
Peggy Head
Peggy Head serves as Controller for EATEL and each of its subsidiaries. She brings more than 14 years of professional accounting experience, including eight years in the telecommunications industry, to the organization. Prior to joining EATEL, Head served for five years as a cost accountant for Savannah Foods and Industries, Inc. at its Colonial Sugar Refinery in Gramercy. She then moved into the managerial roles in the telecommunications industry, first serving as accounting manager for Petro Com, Inc. and then as controller for Gulf Coast Wireless, LP. Head is a licensed certified public accountant and is a member of several professional accounting organizations.
Ashley Phillips
As EATEL's director of network engineering, Ashley Phillips is responsible for all aspects of the company's network/data, switch and transmission engineering. His job also entails staying on top of trends and monitoring emerging technologies in the communications industry. Phillips brings over 15 years of technical experience to his role at EATEL and was instrumental in the development of a number of initiatives for EATEL including the company's LAN and e-mail network, Internet network, Competitive Local Exchange Carrier, long distance, wireless PCS ventures, and fiber-to-the-home project.
Brad Supple
As Director of Sales and Marketing, Supple is responsible for overall sales and marketing strategy, market research and planning, product development, advertising, public relations and corporate communications for EATEL. He has over 20 years experience in the field of Sales and Marketing, including over 10 years within the telecom industry. Supple is an active volunteer in the Greater Baton Rouge community for several nonprofit organizations.
Andreé Francois Talbert
Andreé Francois Talbert is EATEL's Director of Human Resources and is responsible for managing employment, employee relations, compensation and benefits. Andreé obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University and received her Juris Doctorate from the Louisiana State University Law School. Prior to her employment with EATEL, Andreé practiced law with the Baton Rouge law firm of Simoneaux, Carleton, Dunlap and Olinde, LLC.
John D. Scanlan
John D. Scanlan is the executive president and vice chairman of EATELCORP and its subsidiary companies. As a third generation owner of the company, Scanlan has deep roots in the telecommunications industry. He began his career at EATEL as a teenager in 1979 and worked through college as an installer, repairman/ wireman. In 1989, Scanlan was promoted to marketing products manager; four years later he was made responsible for the overall sales and marketing of EATEL's long distance, business communications systems, and telephone services. In 1994, Scanlan was promoted to executive president of EATEL and its subsidiaries. Scanlan has served in his current role as executive president and vice chairman since 1996.
Arthur "Smokey" Scanlan
Arthur "Smokey" Scanlan is the chief executive officer and treasurer of EATELCORP, Inc., and its subsidiaries. As a third generation owner of EATEL, Scanlan became acquainted with the telecommunications industry at a early age. Working part-time at EATEL during his college years, he joined the firm on a full-time basis in May 1984. Over the years he has held various positions within the company, and has worked as an installer, repair technician, outside plant engineer, and personnel director. In addition to his position as chief executive officer, he also serves as a director and member of EATELCORP's executive committee.
Beryl S. Smith
Beryl S. Smith is the secretary of EATELCORP Inc., and a member of the company's board of directors. A graduate of Louisiana State University, Smith holds both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Education degree from the university. She has worked as a teacher and a guidance counselor and is a licensed professional counselor. A strong supporter of education, Smith serves on the board of The Ascension Fund, a non-profit organization that funds teacher grants. She is married and has two children.
Ruth Scanlan
Ruth Scanlan is the Chairman of the Board of EATELCORP, Inc. A second generation owner of EATEL, she has worked in various departments throughout the company. In 1976, Scanlan was elected to serve as a member of EATEL's board of directors. Elected chairman of the board in 1994, she successfully guided the company in its repurchase of approximately two-thirds of its outstanding stock. When offers to purchase the company were presented to the Board, she organized and led a group of shareholders, composed of members of her immediate family, to exercise their right of first refusal. Scanlan's foresight and commitment to the company, its employees, and the community, were the driving force behind the successful completion of this major effort. Active in the community, she has served on the board of a non-profit organization that funds teacher grants, and is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Gonzales Women's Club. She is the mother of three children.
