Setting Up Your Email

Outlook 7

Open Outlook. Select Account Settings from the Tools menu.

On the E-mail tab, click New.

Select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click Next.

Select Internet E-mail and click Next.

Enter the following information for E-mail Accounts.

  • Your Name: Enter the name you wish recipients to see when they receive your message.
  • Email Address:This is the address that your contacts' email program will reply to your messages. This is also the address that will get recorded in your contacts' address book if they add you as a contact.
  • Account Type: POP3
  • Incoming mail server: Enter mail.eatel.net.
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter mail.eatel.net.
  • User Name: Enter your full e-mail address.
  • Password: If you wish for Outlook to save your password, check the box labeled Remember Password and enter your password in the text field.
    Click More Settings.

Click on the Outgoing Server tab, and check the box labeled My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Then choose to Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

Click on the Advanced tab.

  • Under Incoming Server (POP3), the port number should be set to 110.
  • Under Outgoing Server (POP3), the port number should be set to 587.

Click OK.

Click Next. Click Finish..

Windows Live Mail

Click Tools and select Accounts from the drop down list.

On the Internet Accounts screen, click Add.

Under Select Account Type, choose E-mail Account and click Next.

Populate Fields with your eatel.net information. Check Manually configure server settings for e-mail account. Click Next.

Select POP3 from the drop down list of server types.

  • Under Incoming server, enter mail.eatel.net.
  • Under Outgoing Server (SMTP) name, enter mail.eatel.net.
  • Change the Port to 587.
  • Check the box for My Outgoing server requires authentication.

Click Next.

Click Finish.

iPhone

If this is the first account you're setting up on the iPhone or the iPod Touch, tap Mail. Otherwise, from the Home screen choose Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Accounts and choose Add Account.

Choose your email account type. For setting up email to work with your EATEL service, choose Other.

Select Add Mail Account under the Mail section and enter account information.

Fill in your name and email address. Then click Save.

On the next screen enter your eatel.net account details, including the following.

Incoming Mail Server

  • Host name: mail.eatel.net
  • User Name: [your username]@eatel.net
  • Password: [enter your password]

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

  • Host Name: cwmx.com
  • User Name: [optional, not required]
  • Password: [optional, not required]


Tap Save to save the entered information. Your iPhone will then verify your account information.

Upon successful completion you will be taken back to the Mail Settings screen. Select your newly created account and enter the Advanced section:

  • Choose SMTP mail.eatel.net
  • Change SSL setting to Off.
  • Authentication setting should have Password checked.
  • Port should read 25.
  • Click Save.

You should now have a fully configured account on your Apple iPhone
