Connecting to BBU
For most EATEL customers the BBU is a cream-colored box installed inside your home. However, some customers have BBUs that are installed outside the home, with the power cord for the BBU located in the attic. (Note: each customer has only one BBU.)
To the right are pictures of the different types of EATEL installed BBUs and below are some important notes about outside BBUs.
IMPORTANT NOTES about outside BBUs:
- Connection is in the Attic
Outside BBUs have a cable that comes into your home through an outside wall. That cable usually runs through that wall into your attic where it is connected to a box that contains a power cord, which is then plugged into an outlet in your attic. This is the cord that will need to be connected to a generator in the event of a power outage.
- No indicator lights
Outside BBUs do not have indicator lights like inside BBUs.
